Our Process

Timescales

As we have a large yard with extensive stock, therefore we are able to make most memorials relatively quickly. The time scale for memorials in stock is dependent on the permit being received back from the cemetery or churchyard.

However, if you have a date that you would ideally like a memorial fixing by, please let us know at the time of ordering, and we will aim to fix it in time.

For memorials that we do not carry in stock and for bespoke items, the ordering process will be longer as they will need to be made to your specification. This can take 16-20 weeks.

Further to the time scale of our work, most burial authorities would prefer that the ground is allowed to settle before the memorial is fixed; the exact time frame is dependent on the authority where the memorial is to be placed.

In general, however, it is best to wait 6-12 months before placing a memorial. We do advise you to visit us during this time in order for your work to be processed whilst waiting for the ground to settle.

You can visit us, call us, email us, or even fax us. If you are unable to visit, we can also arrange a home visit.

Once we have an idea of your order, we will send you an estimate showing a breakdown of all charges, including the burial authorities fees. Once you have then decided to place your order with us, we will begin the paperwork that is required by the relevant authority. When we have approval back from the authority, we will begin work on the memorial (if it is in stock or place it on order if it isn’t). You will then receive a layout showing the exact lettering and font that will be on the memorial. This is for you to proofread. Once checked, we will proceed to make and then fix the memorial.
